**About the Author:**
Mary Ellen Hughes was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where
she graduated from Alverno College with a degree in Medical Technology.
She worked several years at the National Institutes of Health in
Bethesda, Maryland, leaving to raise a family and to write. She now
resides near Annapolis, Maryland with her husband Terence. *Resort to
Murder* is her first novel for Avalon.
