When dreaming becomes an occupation... But it’s no picnic, and what must be done is not for the faint of heart. Very few can do it successfully, until Amy comes along that is. She's special, but not for any reason you will imagine. Twenty-five years into the FUTURE the last slivers of humanity survives in the last city, a small town surrounded by a great wall. Science is limited about the town, except in The Facility, where the technology stabilizes the world of dreams, and consciousness itself is harvested and doled to the machines for protection. Then, things go terribly wrong and against all odds Jim must make a decision that will change everything.

A saga that carries you to the end of the solar system, through wormholes, pops you into The Nothing--The SOMETHING, as some call it--and births you at the edge of the universe, and because of the choice, into a world of doom, purposed for the unimaginable. But is it REALLY only a dream, a MAP as it's called by the scientists. You'll journey deep into the desert with wild mezcal-drinking Felix in his old clunker pickup truck where he has a secret to expose. Next meet Mister Quain Renmore in a futuristic paradise; he wants to tell you more about how things work than he's allowed to—beware of his slaps and kicks. Then push the boundaries of the system, testing its limits with newfound powers and burst through causing the ultimate surge. But will it be enough to save them? The breach has already occurred, and the machines--a horde of innumerable drones--are well on their way at high speed. Head to the safe room, squeeze in tight, while Amy and Jim battle all odds in to pull off the impossible.

It all started 25 years ago. Powerful companies participated fiercely in the global rat race to develop AI. But one man, with prescience greater than your typical mortal man, manages something special. And he finds someone special across the border in Mexico, a love that can assuage the terrible demons raging war inside his mind--immense mental power also brings the terrible trio that bullies his rational. He's blunt, he's straightforward, and he tells it like it is. He tears down the walls that hold him prisoner to a world of hate, and ultimately learns: he doesn't have to go at it alone. Haunted by his terrible speculations and perspicacious mind he knows things will take a turn for the worse. He had decided to unfold a chair, pop open a beer, and watch it all burn, but now...everything’s changed. He chooses a small group of friends and decides to expand his plan--he won't only save himself, he'll save them AND abolish his hatred, and while there’s no stopping the mass destruction that not only takes out the Earth, Mars, Moon bases and beyond, he'll also try to save a good portion of the world. Can he pull it off?

When AI arrives what’ll occur is anyone’s guess. This tale will deliver terrors into your spine, and it’ll be horrific. There’s also much love and lessons to be learned from good-hearted characters like old Nanny, and plenty of humor from red-headed little Myron, Amy’s wacky chainsaw-wielding school buddy. You’ll laugh, and surely cry. So, a warning to all readers: try to retain your lucidity as things snowball for our civilization, as fire rages, and volcanoes explode. There’s mass destruction on a universal scale, and just as the lights are about to go out for good, along comes Jim, Amy, and Rico, assisted by head scientist Ted. Can they slip through where all others before them have failed? And can they prove themselves worthy? Will a beacon for intergalactic assistance be heard? And if so, will it arrive in time to save the last people on Earth?
