Just as lawyer/adventurer Nick Sanchez is about to leave for yet another sailing adventure, he receives a frantic phone call from his Aunt Raisa in Havana. His restless teenage nephew, Lazaro, has hired a shady human smuggler to get him out of Cuba. Nick drops everything to rush to Havana to begin a frantic search for him with nothing more to go on than a cryptic scrap of information- the nefarious smuggler goes by the enigmatic name of El Cabrón. A frantic search and pursuit lead Nick and his disparate group of compatriots through the seedy back streets of Old Havana to a mysterious secret clinic somewhere in the Archipiélago de Los Canarreos , a jumble of tiny islands off the southern coast of Cuba. The only way to get Lazaro out of there is for Nick to enlist the unlikeliest of allies-a risky move that can go south at a moment’s notice.
