All the Hidden Truths takes an unimaginable tragedy and tells the story of how it unfolds from the points of view of the three women critical to the story – the mother of the ‘shooter’, the mother of the first victim and Detective Inspector, Helen Birch, on day one in her new job at an Edinburgh Police Station. It also explores the destructive role the press (in this case tabloid hack, Grant Lockley) play in serious crime investigations – and how they will stop at nothing to get their story. Grant’s long obsession with DI Birch and her own secrets threaten to undermine her investigation and bring more shocking news to a group of grieving families.
