Here are stories of Christians who put their lives on the line to share their beliefs as members of Christian Peacemaker Teams. Duane Ruth-Heffelbower points out that Jesus said "Blessed are the peacemakers". He did not say "Blessed are the peace lovers". We have not always seen the difference. Active peacemaking requires entering the heart of conflict. It may sometimes look more like troublemaking than peacemaking. That is a risk people take when they try to live out Jesus' call to peacemaking.
