Attila, the down-on-his-luck detective from Barcelona’s Raval neighborhood, is going through a rough patch. He has a drinking problem and issues with Valentina, the closest thing he has to a girlfriend; an organization that helps immigrants has big plans; the president of the Futbol Club Barcelona seeks honor through risky means; and a crime is committed that is so sexist it disconcerts even Attila himself, hardly a feminist. All of these dark goings-on and more come together to create a thrilling detective novel.
