Madison Meyer has been afraid of Dead Man's Hollow since she was a child. Now,

she has to face that fear because she and Erkens were hired to investigate a

case there. It’s not a case about ghosts but revenants.

Glenn Holtz hired Maddie and Erkens because he saw his son in the woods at

Dead Man's Hollow, his son who died the year before. Deke Holtz isn’t the only

revenant, though. Maddie and Erkens have to figure out who has summoned the

souls that have been shoved back into their bodies and why.

Can they figure it out before death comes for the souls that were taken? Will

Maddie’s new friend be able to help her figure out the mystery? How will this

tragic story end?

This story broke my heart. Being a parent myself, and having experienced a

child's extended hospital stay, I could easily empathize with the pain this

client was experiencing.

This story starts with Madison being approached by a man who swears he saw his

dead son wandering around in the woods. Along with meeting her new sister's

brother, trying to free her sister from her contract with a mysterious magical

agency, and coming to terms with her deteriorating relationship with her

mother, Maddie has a lot on her plate.
