This is the second book in the Silver Lake Cozy Mystery series: First Book is "It All Comes Out in the Wash". Silver Lake is a small, rural, gentrified, farming town on the banks of the Mississippi River, across the Missouri border from Mingo Wildlife Refuge and close to the Cape Girardeau area.It is famous for its extreme sports such as bungee jumping, hot air ballooning, parachute sports and whitewater rafting. The annual snowmobile race is about to take place, but suddenly the internet and all wireless goes down in the entire town. The whole town of Silver Lake is set back a quarter of a century.

The hackers that caused this problem are difficult to find and all three of our usual protagonists, Asia Reynolds (documentary film maker); Elise Snuggles (African American cable news anchor) and Sergeant Sheila Rodriguez of the Silver Lake police need the help of several federal agencies to solve this local catastrophe. New members of the Silver Lake family include a St. Bernard named Hunny, her six newborn puppies, a pretty, female brown and tan donkey named Pumpkin, Pumpkin's companion - a red, long-haired Chihuahua named Fuzzy Bud... as well as our usual animal crew of Zucchini (a 120 lb. husky/German Shepard); Big Boy (another huge Golden Retriever/Newfoundland); Nino, Patrolman Chico Almonte's midnight black stallion; and, of course, all of Frankie Franklin's many rescued animals. To add to that is a retired Hollywood stunt horse, a Fresian Gelding named Marco.

This book takes us to the Outer Hebrides of the Scottish Highlands -- Dornoch, Stornoway, the Isles of Lewis and Harris and a strange hacker fellow (Jake Wheeler) who winds up having to live out there. Follow us into the wilds of Europe and the mysteries of underground London to find our hacker antagonists. Oh, and there is one thing -- three of the hackers threw a dead body out of their private jet in the middle of the Silver Lake Annual Snowsled Race.......
