Five college students embark on a hunt for UFO evidence, traveling to a remote location, where numerous sightings have taken place and find the evidence they seek, but they must survive to share the evidence, because now they're the specimen being hunted.
Are we alone in the universe? A question which has haunted mankind, since the beginning of time and a question, which a college professor has directed that his class answer, through collecting video evidence from eyewitnesses. Five (5) college students, GINA (19), CHRISTINA (20), YASMINE (19), CHAZ (20), and ANTHONY (20), depart Las Vegas, Nevada, with their destination being a small Nevada town, which has been a hotbed of UFO sightings, as well as the home for a world renown author on UFO's. During the long trip to the small town, the college students discuss their perspective of life and the existence of UFO's. It is a typical college student road trip, where sex, life ambitions, and the existence of UFO's is discussed. Almost everyone laughs away the existence of UFO's, with one student, Anthony raising the belief that ALIENS aren't the green little men from Mars, but could be anyone; the man at the taco stand, the professor, and even one of the students. Just before they arrive in the small town, their car mysteriously breaks down, with the sudden appearance of OLD MAN scaring them. He tells them about being abducted and warns them that ALIENS don't like to be found; they like to do the finding. The OLD MAN shows them a rock, that he believes the ALIENS use as some type of tracking device, but the students dismiss the OLD MAN as being crazy and proceed to the town. They attempt an interview of the AUTHOR, who tells them they need to interview real people, people who have witnessed UFO's. The students then go into the town and begin interviewing several people, who they quickly dismiss as being crazy, until they meet an OLD LADY, who claims that something killed her goats. The students go to the OLD LADY's house and see that her goats were strangely killed and dissected, like the cattle mutilations they had read about. They interview some more eyewitnesses, with one witness giving them a map to a known UFO landing zone. As night closes in, the students set up cameras at the UFO landing zone, hoping to capture video of UFO's, but failing to really believe. Now, someone, something begins watching them. First one student goes missing and then another and then...
