Andrea King, a former combat veteran, has recently returned home from Afghanistan. Haunted by the events that occurred there, and a past that includes the death of her girlfriend and young son, she has difficulty transitioning back into society.

To cope with her increasing depression and anxiety, Andrea begins to recklessly try to numb her pain with drugs and alcohol. Finding herself unable to connect with anyone emotionally, she begins a passionate physical relationship with an escort named "Raquel" that she meets in a bar. Quickly, lines begin to blur especially when Raquel witnesses one of Andrea's violent nightmares, and she realizes just how much trauma they both have endured, and how much they really have in common. Will the blossoming feelings between the two women be enough to save them from the darkness that consumes their lives or will it drag them even further under?**
