Henry Brereton Marriott Watson (1863-1921) was an Australian novelist, journalist, playwright and short story writer. He wrote more than forty books including seventeen short story collections and a collection of essays. He specialised in adventures and historical romances, but he also wrote mystery, fantasy and supernatural fiction.
