Two Kingdoms (The Dark Side Book 3)

The 'Read Them Wonder' series is a set of short stories intended to be read to children aged 2 - 12. Written by a teacher with a Masters in Education who studied the importance of reading imaginative stories to children.

In this story, 'The Wild Bird Kingdom Sports Day', the three children, Rob, Kat and Mike, return to the magical land to take part in the sports day. As well as amusing events like The Crazy Hop (won by the rabbits) there is also the Great Land Race where they ride the lion and tigers, and the Great Sky Race, where they ride the beautiful flying horses to the top of Cloud Mountain and back.

Author L.H. Owens is an English teacher with a Masters in Education, specialising in the ways children learn, particularly through the arts such as story telling.
