A 15-yr old Scottish beauty immigrates to Idaho with her brother in 1914 to find a better life only to encounter death, evil men and Mother Nature lining up to stop her finding true love and realizing her dreams.
Like a mashup of “Brooklyn” meets “A River Runs Through It”— our female protagonist shows how a complex feminine lead can take the audience on as much of an adventurous ride as any man. This screenplay is pregnant with romance, lust, and love and littered with plenty of fistfights and shootouts that might leave us believing that only a woman who conquers the West is worthy of being described as having, ‘True Grit’.
