SYNOPSISCOMING OUT OF EGYPTWith storm clouds threatening, MARVA GARCIA, 17, and her sister JUNE, 13, dump their father's body in a river near their home in Egypt Village, Trinidad. Hoping to put their painful past behind them, they leave the following day for their aunt's home in another village. A few days later, their father's body washes up on the beach near their aunt's home.DAVID BOWEN, detective and the new chief of the Point Fortin police station, attends James Garcia's wake. He meets CICELY STEWART, Marva's former teacher, and her sister Sheila. David is immediately smitten with Cicely, but she appears uninterested. The autopsy reveals that Garcia died from a blow to the back of the head. Marva finds a job, moves out of her aunt's home, and enrolls June in school, but has little peace.
