This is a self help manual for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is for the person who wants therapy and can't afford a therapist or councelor or for reason's of their own do not wish to speak with one. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a short term therapy with the theory that what one believes or thinks controls what one feels and that emotion controls how we behave. Therefore, we can change ourselves by changing our thoughts and then our behavior. CBT does not dwell on the problem but just the change. For this reason it is widely used for PTSD. The manual is easy to understand, has assignments that are easy to use and examples.
