When, in 2285, Harry Landsfeld's student project involved studying the magnetosphere of Uranus, what he did not expect to see were thirty-four alien battle ships land on Miranda, the innermost significant moon of Uranus. Then there was the additional one, which could accelerate at 300 g. Natasha Kotchetkova, the Commissioner for Defence faces the challenge of an enemy that apparently totally outclassed Earth. To make matters worse, it appears some corporate leaders are prepared to side with the aliens. War is inevitable, but equally inevitably, Terran society began to fall apart. Even if they could win the war, how could the peace be won?
Miranda's Demons is a military/economics epic featuring a vast cast of characters, four alien species, love and treachery, spanning much of Earth and the solar system, and, thanks to relativity, a Roman Legatus returning to meet his prophesied "only woman remaining in his life", who was also the ugliest woman in the world.
