[Skye 02] • The Aisle and Skye

Skye Donaghie, has finally laid her past to rest. She has it all, the job, the girl, and is enjoying living the American dream.

Unfortunately for Skye nothing is ever straightforward.

Whilst her career is on the up her partner Natalie’s hits rock bottom. Losing the England captaincy, and being dropped by her club, the Boston Breakers, forces Natalie to take drastic action as she battles to salvage her reputation as a world class international soccer player.

Soon Skye and Natalie’s fledgling relationship is put to the test, first by distance, then jealously, and finally by a shocking discovery that neither of them could ever have foreseen, and one which threatens to tear their world apart. For Skye, old wounds are reopened and new ones suffered as she struggles to come to terms with a terrifying new reality.

However, in the eye of the storm and whilst navigating the obstacles that are hurled in their path, Natalie and Skye both start to realise that no matter what mistakes they make, no matter what nightmares lie in store, and no matter how daunting the challenges that need to be tackled are, so long as they face their fears together they will have the strength to survive anything life throws at them.

And ultimately they learn that love isn’t a destination, it’s a journey.
