The Samoa Seduction is the story of two strong-willed individuals haunted by their love for one another while being manipulated by a deadly conspiracy.
Michael Bloom, the protagonist, is a federal official who fights for higher wages in American Samoa. Three years after his Samoa assignment, he is weakened by a mysterious illness and wanted by the police for murder. In desperation, he escapes to the South Pacific to unravel the conspiracy that’s decimating his life.
When she encountered Michael Bloom, Stephanie Palaie Moelai was Director of Samoa’s Visitor’s Information Bureau. Taken by his devotion to poor Samoan workers and attracted by his athletic build and intense blue eyes, she saw him as her ticket to the Mainland and a better life for her and her three young children.
When Michael is unwilling to jettison his marriage, Stephanie sells out to the conspiracy resulting in Michael’s illness. The money she receives enables her move to the Mainland and eventual marriage to a former conspirator, soon to be a U.S. Congressman.
The conspirator’s house of cards begins to collapse when investigations are launched into a suspicious death and charges of fraud and abuse in setting Samoa’s minimum wage. Fearing the worst and unable to shake tortured feelings for her lost love, Stephanie abandons her new life for the presumed safety of American Samoa. There, her reunion with Michael is threatened by the conspirators who will stop at nothing to finally put him away.
