Finding Daddy

Ashley Jakes never knew the father of her daughter. It hasn’t been easy, but she’s done a good job raising Etta alone with just a part-time sales wage. The lack of daddy in Etta’s life has never seemed like a big deal, until one day when Etta suddenly wants to know why the other kids have daddies and she only has mommy.

Maybe it’s time for Ashley to get back into the dating game so Etta can have a chance at having a male figure in her life. She starts her search with a series of blind dates—dates which end the moment the men learn there is a young fatherless child back home. Her third blind date is such a loser that Ashley starts to think Etta will never have a father.

Then Mitch slips himself into Ashley’s life. He’s a bartender working nights and sharing an apartment with roommates while living like a nineteen-year-old frat boy even though he’s well into his thirties. Ashley wants nothing to do with him, but he keeps coming back for more, even after he finds out Ashley has a young child.
