It's mid-October in the mountain region of west Texas that kisses Old and New Mexico. A couple traveling across country in their motorhome make a planned stop in Aintright, Texas; a village slumbering in the shadow of the Guadalupe Mountains. Arriving late in the evening they follow the self check-in procedures for the Aintright RV Park and settle in for the night.

Ripped from their slumber in the early morning hours by an explosion of sound, they flee for their lives clothed only in the essence of sleep, carrying the jewels of Texas with them; boots, hat,and a gun.The tranquility of this small Texas town that smiled on them as they fell asleep in each other's arms has shattered like frozen glass screaming at scalding water. Will the quirks and secrets of Aintright's residents be their saving grace, or their condemnation?
