Homosexuality - A Brief Discussion (Let's Be Clear)

A review of literature on the factors leading homosexuality. It was hypothesized that the research on homosexuality would reveal that there is genetic potential to engage in homosexuality, but it is our experiences, particularly in childhood, that influence sexual orientation. Indeed, the research shows a biological basis for the notion of a trait for homosexuality, there is evidence that the frequency of some experiences are shared by those engaging in homosexual behavior are less frequent in heterosexuals. There is also evidence to suggest culture impacts sexual orientation. This may have implications in how homosexuality is addressed in Christian counseling, particularly with children and adolescents.
