Edyn Walter was one of the lucky ones that had a soul, and little did she know how problematic that would become. When a team from the Essence Project came looking for her for their research, she was forced to flee to an underground society where she found love in Ryker Evans, who she thought was just a vague memory from her past. After alarming new abilities emerge resulting in betrayal by a supposed friend, she is captured by Essence Project leader Jophiel. He torments her in the name of research, desperate to find a way to get his kind home.
