Summer Dawn Greenley. She is the owner of the Davenport ranch and trying to keep several promises made to the previous owner, Jonathan Davenport. This would be a simple thing for her to do if she wasn’t bumping heads with Matt.
Matt is Jonathan’s son, but he never wanted to run the ranch. Even though he told his father to sell the ranch, he is concerned for the families who live there. He tries to get the name of the new owner from Jose, the foreman. Matt becomes concerned when he is told the ranch was sold to Dawn Greenley. He has assumed Jose was talking about a man and not the woman that ended up being Summer Dawn.
He can only find information on a Donald Greenley. He hires to hires a private detective to look into the man’s shady past. The investigation sets off several events that put the lives of the people at the ranch in danger. Matt’s continual demand to speak to the man who owns the ranch causes a great deal of humor at his assumption. He is continually bumping into this woman that appears to be in charge of making decisions, but no one will tell him who she is.
Once the dust settles and all the frustration, anxiety and misunderstandings are revealed, the question remains. Can this man and the new owner of the ranch ever accept the attraction that has simmered between them for years without hurting each other?
