Midnight Omen

Living in the wild swamps of Georgia, in 1981, Angel Tala faces more than just a swamp full of wild things. She faces her mother's omen, her destiny, and quite possible her own death. Using the skills passed down to her from her father and grandfather, she provides for her mother and sisters, since her father has all but abandoned them. With the death of her grandfather, Angel's whole world changes. No longer is she the young girl running wild and having the time of her life. She is now a woman with responsibility and must make sacrifices and a hunter who must succeed in order for her family to survive. Too soon she realizes that the swamp she's grown up in, is not just brimming with snakes, alligators, and wild cats. Her swamp is full of something much darker and much deadlier. She comes face to face with a new enemy that wants nothing more than to ultimately destroy her.
