Kriegszeit · A Time of War

This story tells of a young woman's struggle against all odds in Nazi Germany. Kathe refused to conform with the demands of the SS, standing up against the authority of the regime and fighting to maintain her own values. Once devoted to National Socialist ideals, she changed after witnessing the degradation of "the undesirables" in her own community. She was not alone.

"When the SS were around they always seemed to fuel discontent or suspicion. We all hated it with a passion. They would come into the market place with their pompous loud rambling, telling us what to do, prying their noses into our business, taking people away into the night. I was terrified of them!"

Only great inner strength would help Kathe prevail against a world gone mad.
