Cursed.

That’s what I get for coming home to New Orleans and attending a Samhain gathering with witches from around the world. I’m cursed to face my darkest fear… or else.

I’ve had nightmares of the darkness and those that lurk in it since I was a child, and a few failed spells have taught me to just live with the sleepless nights to avoid being sucked into the void.

The night Rogan appears over my bed, ready to kill me, changes everything. There’s something about him that draws me and I can’t explain it.

As we both battle against those that hold power over us, we grow closer, until I know there is nothing I wouldn’t do to free him from his servitude to a distant relative of my line.

As magic flies and secrets are revealed, I’m no longer sure that breaking my own curse at the cost of Rogan’s life is worth it, and as I’m pushed to the limits of my powers, there’s no turning back.
