Black Master, White Slave

In the Charleston of 1820 slavery was a way of life. Josiah Cavanaugh was wealthy, educated and black; when he bought the white Irish slave Pegeen he was fulfilling his own dark fantasy. Pegeen, a slave since she was five, only hoped for a decent master. Neither of them expected the explosion of passion their joining would cause.

Used in bed by several masters for their own pleasure, Pegeen had no idea of how enjoyable a woman could find sex. Josiah purchased the white girl on a whim; he never anticipated that showing her the joy of lovemaking could increase his own. Neither could foresee that they would fall in love, nor the complications that would result.
