[Second Chance 02] • Second Chance at Life

(Previously titled "Kicked to the Curb") A firm believer in second chances, Cara Mia Delgatto returns to the small town in Florida where, as a sixteen-year-old, she lost her heart to Cooper Rivers.

After buying a building on a whim, she opens a trash-to-treasure store specializing in upcycling, recycling, and repurposing goods with a beachy theme. She’s given up on her relationship with Cooper while she concentrates on running her business.

Meanwhile, her older sister plots to ruin Cara’s life, her ex-husband refuses to pay their son’s tuition, and her bank account is slowly being drained. Then Cara finds the corpse of a nosy journalist who threatened to expose all of Cara’s dirty laundry. Cara begins to wonder if the building she bought is cursed—and if she will ever be able to love and trust again!
