Forbidden Liaison · They lived and loved for the here and now

This story is a snapshot in the life of a disillusioned German soldier, and his female lover. On the Channel Islands, like all the other countries invaded by the German Army during WWII, it was inevitable liaisons would occur between the German soldiers and local women. Some liaisons were based on love, but most proved to be just casual affairs. This book tells the story of an affair – that like most of these liaisons - ended abruptly when the soldier was posted. They lived simply for the here and now.
