What little kid doesn’t want to build a snowman? I remember many snow days filled with sledding down hills, snowball fights, and building snowmen with some of my and my siblings’ closest friends. The cold never seemed to bother us when we were younger. These little Snowman Cupcakes are the perfect treat to make with your little ones to celebrate the magic and fun of the winter season. Kids will have a blast adding the snowman’s nose and pretzel stick arms!
1⁄2 batch Buttercream Frosting (see recipe in Chapter 1)
1⁄2 batch Perfect Chocolate Cupcakes (see recipe in Chapter 1)
6 orange Starburst or orange Tootsie Roll candies
24 pretzel sticks
72 mini chocolate chips
1. Place Buttercream Frosting in a cake-decorating bag with a #1M tip and pipe onto cupcakes.
2. Cut Starburst or Tootsie Roll in half and use your fingers to form a carrot nose shape. Place nose just off the center of the cupcake.
3. Add pretzel sticks to both sides of the nose at a 45-degree angle to form the snowman’s arms.
4. Add two mini chocolate chips to the top center of the cupcake for eyes and four or five mini chocolate chips below the nose to make a mouth.
5. Repeat with remaining ingredients until you have twelve Snowman Cupcakes.
