CHERRYBERRY SMOOTHIE

Smoothies are my breakfast go-to in the summertime, and my post-workout staple after strenuous sessions. This recipe combines fruits that are both rich in antioxidants and great for replenishing energy. Add protein powder to aid in muscle recovery.

INGREDIENTS (2 Servings):

2 cups spinach

1 cup frozen cherries

1 cup coconut milk

1 cup frozen blueberries

½ medium banana

1 scoop protein powder (optional)

Fresh lemon juice, to taste

DIRECTIONS:

1.    Place the spinach, cherries, coconut milk, blueberries, banana, and protein powder (if using) in a blender and blend to the desired consistency. Add lemon juice to taste, and then blend once more to combine. Serve immediately.
