- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅔ cup powdered sugar
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ⅔ cup butter, cut up
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1¼ cups chopped mixed nuts or pecans
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- ¾ cup pure maple syrup
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- ½ tsp. maple flavoring or 1 tsp. vanilla
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 13×9-inch baking pan with foil, extending foil over edges of pan. Lightly coat foil with cooking spray.
2. For crust, in a bowl stir together flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in the ⅔ cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press mixture evenly into bottom of the prepared baking pan. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
3. Meanwhile, for filling, in another bowl combine the remaining ingredients. Spread filling evenly over hot crust.
4. Bake about 20 minutes or until filling is set. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Use foil to lift uncut pie out of pan. Cut into bars.
