Sitting in a relaxed position allows your child to experience the regulatory impact of breathing on our nervous system and our blood circulation. Physiologically, breathing is really essential.
1. Sit or stand with your feet together and extend your arms out to the sides so they are parallel to the ground. Four sitting positions are possible for this pose: easy (p.18), diamond (p.17), lotus (p. 19), or half-lotus (p.19).
2. You are a peacock. Like this beautiful bird, you display your feathers. Slowly bring your extended arms up while inhaling with your lips half-closed.
3. Gently bring your hands together above your head.
4. Eventually, the peacock closes its tail. Without rushing, make a semi-circle down while exhaling very gently.
5. You can repeat this exercise several times, calmly.
