The New York Times bestselling and award-winning author of nearly fifty books, including The Birth Order Book, Parenting the Powerful Child, Have a New Kid by Friday, Have a Happy Family by Friday, Have a New Teenager by Friday, Have a New Husband by Friday, Have a New You by Friday, and Sheet Music, has made thousands of house calls for radio and television programs, including Fox & Friends, Mancow, The View, Dr. Bill Bennett’s Morning in America, Fox’s The Morning Show, Today, 700 Club, Oprah, CBS’s The Early Show, In the Market with Janet Parshall, CNN, and Focus on the Family. Dr. Leman has also served as a contributing family psychologist to Good Morning America.
Dr. Leman is the founder and president of Couples of Promise, an organization designed and committed to help couples remain happily married. His professional affiliations include the American Psychological Association, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology.
In 2003, the University of Arizona awarded Dr. Leman the highest award they can give to one of their own: the Distinguished Alumnus Award. In 2010, North Park University awarded him an honorary doctor of humane letters degree.
Dr. Leman received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arizona, where he later earned his master’s and doctorate degrees. Originally from Williamsville, New York, he and his wife, Sande, live in Tucson, Arizona. They have five children and two grandchildren.
