Phoebe’s Hot Chocolate

If you need a little pick-me-up after getting red-carded for elbowing another player, this comforting, cozy, universally loved hot chocolate is for you. Creamy and smooth, it can be dressed up with marshmallows, sprinkles, or even malted milk. Enjoyable for all ages but especially perfect for little kids, it’s an essential drink for keeping hands toasty at a cold match.

MAKES 1 DRINK

• 1 cup whole milk
• 2 tablespoons heavy cream
• 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
• ½ teaspoon vanilla paste
• Pinch of salt

Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat, whisking. Once steaming, remove from the heat, pour into a mug, and serve.
