MAKES 8 DRINKS, 4 RED AND 4 BLUE MARGARITAS
- Coarse salt, for the rim
- Lime wedge, for the rim
Frozen Red Margaritas
- 3½ to 4 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup silver tequila
- ½ cup fresh lime juice (from 5 to 6 limes)
- ⅓ cup simple syrup
- ¼ cup triple sec or Cointreau
- Fresh strawberries for garnish
Frozen Blue Margaritas
- ¾ cup blue curaçao
- ½ cup silver tequila
- ¼ cup triple sec or Cointreau
- ¼ cup simple syrup
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice (from 2 to 3 limes)
- 5 cups ice, plus more as needed
- Fresh blueberries on cocktail picks

- Pour coarse salt onto a plate. Rub the lime wedge around the rim of a margarita glass and then roll the edge of the glass in the salt to coat the rim. Repeat with the remaining seven glasses.
- Make the red margaritas: Place the frozen strawberries in the blender and add the tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and triple sec. Blend until smooth. Divide evenly among four margarita glasses and garnish with strawberries. Wash out the blender.
- Make the blue margaritas: Mix the curaçao, tequila, triple sec, simple syrup, and lime juice in the blender. Add the ice and blend until slushy. If the margaritas are too watery, additional ice can be added. Divide evenly among the remaining four margarita glasses and garnish with blueberries.
