ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

As I look back now on another completed manuscript (my third one in three years!), I must admit that I am not quite sure how I got here. One thing is for certain: this book would never have been written without the help and support of a long list of people. Throughout my life, I have been incredibly fortunate to have had a supportive family, inspiring mentors, and a close group of remarkable friends.

First and foremost, I would like to thank my wife, Vidhaata. She has shown incredible patience as my seemingly endless book-writing has eaten into evenings, weekends, and holidays. She has also played every conceivable role in the writing of this book including researcher, critic, sounding board, and editor. This book would not have been the same without her.

Jainam and Anoushka, you both inspire me every day. Thanks for being patient while Daddy finished writing and thanks for all your suggestions and helping me come up with new ideas. You teach me what life is truly about on a daily basis and I love you both more than words can say. I hope this book makes you proud and helps to create a healthier and happier society for you to grow up in.

Mum and Dada, thank you for always believing in me in every single project that I undertake.

Chetana and Dinesh, thank you for the gift of having two more parents.

I am lucky to have an incredible group of close friends who endlessly listen to my new ideas, provide creative input, and challenge me to be the best that I can. A heartfelt thank you to Will Storr, Luke Fisher, Jeremy Hawkey, Ayan Panja, Phil Creswell, Jodie Hawkey, Michael Ash, Antony Haynes, Carron Scrimgeour, Steve Lau, Bobby Chatterjee, Dhru Purohit, and Christian Platt.

Gary Ward, thanks for collaborating with me once again. I know these movement sequences will help so many people. Your work deserves to be spread all over the world.

Will Francis, you epitomize what anyone could wish for in an agent—thank you.

Clare, thanks for your dedication, versatility, and your ability to juggle multiple balls at once. I couldn’t do this without you.

Jo, you have been an incredible asset and are invaluable in helping me spread my message.

Thanks also to Miguel Mateas, Bernice Hulme, Diana Davidson, Philip Owen, Sophie Laurimore, Carina Rizvi, Kirsty Gordon, Zoë Nelson, and Ellis Hazelgrove.

I am fortunate to work with what is probably the best team in publishing! A huge thank you to the phenomenal team of amazing women at Penguin Life: Venetia, Emily, Julia, Josie, Marianne, Alice, and Emma.

Miranda, Clare, and Polly—my fabulous new creative team! You have been a joy to work with and have shown phenomenal dedication and expertise to help me make this book as accessible as possible.

And, finally, thank you to every single one of my readers. Life is short and time is precious—thank you for giving me some of yours. I hope that you feel inspired and are now well equipped with new tools to start making small changes that will have a big impact on your health and happiness.
