It could hardly be simpler. I want you to flick through this book and choose one health snack from each of the three menus—Mind, Body, and Heart—then add them into your daily routine for five days of the week. These five days are what I call your “Feel Better Days.” For some of you, they may be Monday to Friday, as these are the days when you can anchor them around the regularity of your work routine. For those with different schedules, they might be different days. Feel free to choose whichever five days you like, or do them every day of the week if you really get on a roll.
It’s also up to you when you do your health snacks. You could do one in the morning, one at lunchtime, and one in the evening. Alternatively, you could do all three as soon as you wake up. Whatever you prefer. I have, however, suggested a time of day for some of the health snacks where I have seen them have the most impactful results.
I’d strongly encourage you to stick with the same three health snacks each day as much as you can, as this will greatly increase your chances of making each one a habit that you start to crave, just as you might crave a chocolate bar or a glass of wine. As with everything I have recommended in this book, there is no downside to doing them. None of them has harmful side effects. The worst-case scenario of doing them is you will feel slightly better than you currently do. Best-case scenario? You will change your life, for good!
