This drink was designed to be served as an aperitif—clean, crisp, and refreshing—something to get your mouth watering before dinner.
INGREDIENTS
2 ounces Svedka Citron Vodka (or other citrus vodka of your choice)
½ ounce Reyka Vodka (or vodka of your choice)
½ ounce Dolin Dry Vermouth (or dry vermouth of your choice)
½ ounce Cocchi Americano
Splash of tonic
1 ounce Moscato per glass
3 spritzes Grape Mist per glass (recipe follows)
3 skewered red grapes per glass
Pour the citrus vodka, vodka, vermouth, and Cocchi Americano into a shaker over ice. Shake well, strain into a port glass, add a splash of tonic and top with 1 ounce Moscato. Finish with 3 spritzes of grape mist. Garnish with skewered grapes. Repeat steps for second glass. Serve.
MAKES 5 CUPS
If you don’t want to make this recipe from scratch, you can buy Concord grape juice instead.
INGREDIENTS
4 cups Concord grapes
4 cups white sugar
4 cups water
Place the grapes in a large saucepan and crush them. Add the sugar and water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat; lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool, then strain the juice into a container and discard the spent grapes. Cover and refrigerate. When ready to use, place in an atomizer.
