Nothing says summer like the flavors of watermelon and kiwi. Because both fruits are high in potassium, portion size is important when enjoying these sweet treats. Feel refreshed, and get plenty of vitamin C in the process, drinking this vibrantly colored smoothie.
2 cups watermelon chunks
1 kiwifruit, peeled
1 cup ice
In a blender, combine the watermelon, kiwi, and ice. Process until smooth.
Nutrition tip: While watermelon tastes particularly sweet, it has only half the sugar of an apple. Because sugar is the main taste-producing element, it stands out the most. The other primary ingredient in watermelon is water.
