College is that time of life where you meet a lot of people who are majoring in PoliSci. This is also the space where you will meet your first libertarian. Or you yourself might become a libertarian. For a period of time in college, I was librarian. That’s unrelated, but felt relevant here.
Here’s an excellent hosting treat for such types!
Cocktail
Whatever you have . . . have it over ice.
Keep your head cool in a hot debate.
Ingredients
* mashed potatoes
* Tater Tots
* tiny adorable wieners
* teeheeehee
Instructions
This is kind of one of those recipes you make if you have a roommate who already made half the ingredients and has now left them in the communal fridge marked “FREE!”
So! Take some leftover mashed potatoes and some conveniently also leftover Tater Tots and put little cocktail wieners inside. Then bake to reheat. Then giggle to yourself. Then serve to people. Best to leave some extra wieners out just in case your guests can’t get enough of the D*.
Politics is a sensitive subject.
And I think it’s because everyone wants to feel like their needs matter. I wish that debates included more “Yes, and . . .” or “However, you’re stupid. Remember that time you shut down the country because you didn’t want to participate in government?”
