This flavor-packed rub makes a hefty amount—about 1 ½ cups. Store leftovers in an airtight container.

½ cup chili powder

½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar

¼ cup paprika

1 Tbsp. garlic powder

1 Tbsp. onion powder

1 Tbsp. ground cumin

2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

2 tsp. cayenne pepper

2 tsp. dry mustard

1 tsp. salt

Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl.
