Fabric Requirements and Cutting
NOTE
All the pieces in this block are cut using templates from Patterns 10 and 11. The dimensions listed in the chart under “Size to Cut” represent the amount of fabric required for each piece. More fabric may be required for shortcut piecing or fussy cutting.
To make a template from a pattern, refer to Making and Using Freezer-Paper Templates. When cutting your fabric, remember to add seam allowances and mark points for matching seams.
Make the Block
1. Arrange and sew the 12 pieces A into 4 rows of 3 each.
2. Sew the 4 rows together to make a larger parallelogram shape that leans to the left. figure a
Finish the Block
Sew piece B to the left side of unit A, and piece C to the right side. figure b
