Fabric Requirements and Cutting
Align the 2 pieces of fabric with right sides together. Use a fabric marker to draw the diagonal seam line as shown in the diagram. Sew along the marked line. Trim away the excess fabric to leave a ¼˝ seam allowance. Press the seam open.

1. Place a piece B on top of a piece A. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. figure a
2. Place the remaining piece B on top of the remaining piece A. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. figure b
3. Sew 2 pieces C to each unit AB.
4. Sew piece D between the 2 pieced units ABC. figure c
Make the Side Units
1. Sew 2 pieces F to each piece E. figure d
2. Sew 2 pieces H to each piece G. figure e
3. Sew a unit EF to the right side of a unit GH. This is the left-side unit. figure f
4. Sew a unit EF to the left side of a unit GH. This is the right-side unit. figure g
Finish the Block
Sew the left and right side units to the center unit. figure h
