Fabric Requirements and Cutting
Align the 2 pieces of fabric with right sides together. Use a fabric marker to draw the diagonal seam line as shown in the diagram. Sew along the marked line. Trim away the excess fabric to leave a ¼˝ seam allowance. Press the seam open.

1. Rows 1 and 3: Place a piece B on top of a piece A. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. Repeat to make a total of 2 units. figures a & c
2. Row 2: Place a piece D on top of a piece C. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. figure b
3. Row 4: Place a piece D on top of a piece C. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. figure d
4. Row 5: Place a piece D on top of a piece C. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. figure e
5. Row 6: Place a piece B on top of a piece A. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. figure f
6. Row 7: Place a piece B on top of a piece A. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. figure g
Finish the Block
Arrange rows 1–7 in a column and sew together.
