Fabric Requirements and Cutting
Align the 2 pieces of fabric with right sides together. Use a fabric marker to draw the diagonal seam line as shown in the diagram. Sew along the marked line. Trim away the excess fabric to leave a ¼˝ seam allowance. Press the seam open.

1. Sew together 2 pieces A. Repeat to make 6 units A. figure a
2. Place a piece B on top of a unit A. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. Repeat to make 3 units AB1. figure b
3. Place a piece B on top of a unit A. Mark and sew the diagonal seam. Note that this seam is the mirror image of the one in Step 2. Repeat to make 3 units AB2. figure c
Finish the Block
1. Alternate and sew together units AB1 and AB2.
2. Sew pieces C to the top and bottom. figure d
