Colorful Cleansing Smoothie

It may be difficult to figure out which food group is best for your body. The answer is . . . all of them! The easiest route to achieving optimum health is to taste the rainbow. Eat a variety of different foods with a rainbow of vibrant colors to ensure your body is receiving abundant vitamins and nutrients. This smoothie is a step on that colorful road.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups mixed greens

1 beet with greens, peeled and chopped

2 parsnips, peeled

2 oranges, peeled and seeded

2 cups black tea, cooled

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
