Turnip Turnaround Smoothie

One of the many reasons raw-food enthusiasts adopt and adhere to their lifestyle is the drop in vitamins, minerals, and nutrients when produce is heated above a certain temperature. Blending veggies raw in a Paleo green smoothie is a delicious way to enjoy these superfoods, protect against a number of cancers, and promote eye health.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

1 cup green leaf lettuce

1 turnip including top greens, peeled

2 small carrots, peeled

2 small pears of choice, peeled and seeded

2 cups white tea, cooled

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
