Mental Makeover Smoothie

This smoothie is designed to get your brain back on track with rich sources of vitamins and minerals that stimulate and rejuvenate brain functions. In addition to being a rich source of iron and folate (which aids in iron absorption), this amazing smoothie holds a wealth of vitamins A, B, C, D, and K that provide cancer-fighting power against liver, ovarian, colon, and prostate cancers.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups spinach

2 cucumbers, peeled

2 celery stalks plus leaves

1 large tomato

2 cups black tea, cooled

3 ice cubes

Pinch of sea salt, optional

Freshly grated horseradish, optional garnish

  1. Combine all ingredients except horseradish and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
  3. Garnish with fresh horseradish if desired.
