Pregnant Brain Smoothie

Not only is vitamin C an important addition to your diet for its strong immunity-building power; this vitamin also benefits the expectant mom by providing optimal brain functioning. That means better mental clarity, improved focus, and an overall feeling of awareness instead of the mental fuzziness commonly referred to as “pregnant brain.”

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups watercress

2 tangerines or mandarins, peeled and seeded

12 grapefruit, peeled and seeded

12 cup frozen pineapple chunks

12 cup cantaloupe chunks

2 cups red raspberry tea, cooled

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
